About Us

Bump and Beyond was born from a desire to support, empower and educate all women – not just Mums – in the areas of health and fitness.

After several years in the fitness industry it became clear that talk of weight loss, faddy diets and body transformations has made us forget what true ‘health’ really means.

As my career has developed, I have become extremely passionate about encouraging the women around me, and anyone that has stumbled across my work, to focus on putting health first

With particular regards to Mums, experience and conversation has taught me that pressure to ‘snap back’ and be ‘super-mom’ has led many to develop a negative relationship with exercise and to set unrealistic expectations often causing more harm than good.

Growing, birthing and looking after a tiny human is an incredible experience but it puts a lot of pressure on the body, so let me help you stay strong, happy and healthy - in both body and mind - at every stage of this journey.

I believe the best exercise for you is the one you enjoy so working with me is give-and-take; communication is key. I’m on hand to tailor sessions and programmes to suit your ever-changing needs and to make sure you are comfortable whilst still doing what you need to do to work towards achieving your goal. Specialising in ante- and postnatal exercise I can help you build and maintain your strength and fitness throughout pregnancy and thereafter recover and restore.

I offer 1:1, group class and online coaching. The focus is on health and creating a sustainable lifestyle for you during this time and long into your future. Bump and Beyond is for those ready to take responsibility for their physical wellbeing. It’s for anyone looking to develop a positive mindset about their body; to appreciate all that it has and is yet to do for you!

Meet Stacey

First and foremost, I am a personal trainer with 7 years experience in the industry. Everything I do and work towards is for one reason: to empower women to FEEL incredible and confident in their own skin.

But where did it all start?

I’ve always been active in some way from running around and climbing trees, roller-skating or bike riding as a kid, to my first experience in the gym at 16, to running and lifting weights in the present day.

After dropping out of university I struggled to find a career that fit. Knowing how much time we spend at work I didn’t want to settle; I wanted something to light a fire in my belly.

A lack of self-confidence and disordered eating habits plagued my teens and early 20’s. Exercise was one of the key components that helped me overcome those issues. It made me feel strong, energised and self-assured and it gave me focus at a time when I was a little lost. I soon came to realise that I wanted to help others feel better about themselves.

Suffice to say, I don’t quite fit the stereotypical gym trainer profile. My clients don’t leave the gym on their knees feeling sick having had a ‘beasting’, nor do they follow super strict diet plans that leave them feeling deprived and unable to enjoy a social life. Instead, I listen to how my clients are feeling in themselves, in their energy levels and emotional state. My approach is much more focussed on preparation for optimal movement and everyday activities. It’s about listening to our bodies and eating for nourishment and for pleasure. I guess you could say my approach is more holistic.

Outside of the gym:

- I live in Derbyshire with my partner, two young children and our Labradoodle, Hugo.

- Not one to sit still for long, you can often find me pottering in the kitchen or faffing with something or other.

- I love to travel and fully throw myself into different cultures, environments and food scenes.

- I am incredible indecisive (especially when it comes to ordering food) but when I make a decision I go all-in and devote my time and attention to it.
